ChatGPT Ads Are Here. What This Means For Dentists
It has been confirmed, ads are rolling out to ChatGPT soon.
Read Time: 1 Minute, 40 Seconds
A little housekeeping first. The only offer remaining from the Black Friday Vault are the one-time audits for $299. I’ll keep the offer open for the rest of this week, there are five left. For everyone that brought us on in some capacity, it’s time to rock.
The news has officially hit.

ChatGPT just made a move everyone in marketing has been waiting for.
They’re rolling out ads directly inside responses. Not on a sidebar. Not below the answer. Inside the answer itself.
Just like what Google is doing with AI Mode. And this matters for one reason.
Your patients are using AI more than ever to make decisions. This week’s spike in usage around holiday shopping, travel and recommendations proves it.
Here is what dentists need to understand right now.
1. Discovery Is Officially Splintered
Patients will not rely on one platform. Some will search Google. Some will ask ChatGPT. Some will ask Siri when Apple’s AI search rolls out. You need visibility across multiple ecosystems, not just one.
2. Neutral Answers Are Going Away
ChatGPT used to give clean, unbiased recommendations. Ads will change that. Answers will be influenced by paid placements, especially on the free tier, which makes up for 85%~ of their users.
If you are not feeding these systems accurate, structured information about your practice, you will be invisible.
3. Your Reputation Will Matter More
When ads enter the chat, trust signals become more important. Reviews, listings, structured data, services and hours will influence whether your practice appears as an unpaid, ‘organic’ recommendation.
4. Your Website Is Still The Anchor
AI tools may surface answers, summarize options, or compare providers, but they still pull from somewhere. Your website and your Google Business Profile remain the sources that train these systems. Build them well. Regularly audit them.
What To Do This Week
Clean up your Google Business Profile and confirm all information is consistent.
Add clear service pages to your website, with long-form content.
Build simple FAQ content that AI can pull from, it can be the same as mentioned.
Focus on reviews and reputation signals, always getting FRESH reviews.
Make your data consistent across all platforms.
ChatGPT ads will not destroy organic discovery. They will just reward the businesses who prepare. The practices who get ahead of this shift will show up when patients ask, “Who is the best dentist near me?”
The ones who don’t will be buried behind sponsored results. Prepare now while most of your competitors are still confused by the headlines.
Talk next week.
